- Hey, James, says here that everyone in the UK is eligible to get a free device that shows how much electricity is being used in the home at any one particular moment. Maybe you could mod it for the EV too?
- I wish you all would quit fooling yourselves, this can never work! (he does have some good points)
- The Velozzi electric concept car.
- Nissan and NED are teaming up to produce batteries for electric cars.
- Pietro hasn’t put his new LiPo batteries in his EV yet, but some of them went into his son’s go-kart … and won the race!
Hi Jerry
Thank you for the electricity meter display link. I hadn’t seen it even though I often look at the BBC news site. If I come across one, I’ll tell you how well it works.
In the article by Peter Kammler; he writes: “The electric car is no more than a tax avoidance scheme because its owner avoids paying the fuel tax” but from what I have read about registering electric vehicles, the town increases the amount to offset for the taxes you would have paid at the pumps of which they get their share presumably for road maintenance.
I thought I had read it someplace with in your Mazda journal Jerry.
Broken 2000 Honda Insight for sale on Ebay, auction # 110117240689. In Ohio, near Columbus. Great looking, has broken camshaft, engine needs replaced. Would make great EV, Cd about .25, around 1500 Lbs. Opportunity knocks!
The Velozzi concept car in my humble opinion is the way to go. Desirable and yet protects the environment.
